I recently worked on a scaled down version of last year’s CLAHRC conference, this time held at the Henry Wellcome building at the University of Leicester. It was an interesting mix of talks, Q&A sessions and networking for the CLAHRC team, associates and review team.

It’s always pleasing when you’re remembered for doing a good job in the past – and so it was that someone at the CLAHRC conference in June (thanks Ruth) recommended me for the NIHR RDS (Research Development Services) conference that took place on February 11th at Burleigh Court in Loughborough.

The event was a mix of talks, Q&A sessions with a panel of experts and one-on-one discussions so it was my job to capture the programme in full – plus the general interaction between all of the delegates throughout the day.  This launch was designed to help those interested in research and research funding in health and social care and gave them an opportunity to actually meet those who manage and administer the research funds. Life (and work) does carry on despite the sweltering weather and this week I was the official photographer for the day-long East Midlands NIHR CLAHRC conference. In full, this stands for the National Institute of Health Research Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care and is essentially a five year programme to ensure that health research findings are quickly integrated into the day-to-day work of GP practices and health organisations.

The event, which took place at Kettering Conference centre, was well attended with over 175 delegates and was an interesting mix of talks, seminars and networking opportunities. Thanks to the organisers at CLAHRC and to the co-operation of all delegates throughout the day. All of the conferences images can be found here.

I was recently commissioned as the photographer to cover the presentation event for East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust based in Nottingham. The Trust were proud to receive the award for the World’s First Multi-Control Room Accreditation.

Everyone remarked on the size of the award itself (A1 from my guessing!) and we had to make sure this appeared in all shots. The shoot was on behalf of Stuart Hollis Photography and the full folio can be seen here.
